Which question is natural if I want to ask someone if now is the right moment to call some?
a) Is it alright to call him right now?
b) Is it alright call him right now?

I think a is right but b is okayt too.

Don't use "alright" in any exam/formal situation. Even though it's used, it's non-standard and would be marked as incorrect. Use "all right". I'd use "convenient".

I thought alright and okay are about the same, both often used informally.

Some older speakers of BrE still consider OK more informal.

Independent of how language teachers might mark it, I would go even further than 5jj and tedmc on "all right" vs "alright." For me (AmE speaker), "alright" is neutral and "all right" is a bit overly formal or even marks the writer as a bit stuffy.
