1. Bo and Tim are twins boy and girl.

2. May and June are twins girls.

3. They are twins.

Are the above sentences correct?

Thank you.

The first sentence gives me difficulty because while I suppose Bo could be a boy's or a girl's name, Tim is definitely a male name. So when the sexes of the twins are listed later in the sentence, they should correspond to the names given.

'Bo and Tim are twins, a girl and a boy.'

That is how I would write the sentence for the sake of clarity.

The other two sentences are correct.

1. Bo and Tim are twins boy and girl.

2. May and June are twins girls.

3. They are twins.

Are the above sentences correct?

Thank you.
I discussed the above sentences with a native English speaker. She said I should write :

May and June are twin girls. instead of

May and June are twins girls.

Any comment?

Thank you.
