Hello everybody!

Suppose that a floating dock has just been built. It is now time to deliver it along a berth. First of all, however, the newly built dock has to be unloaded.

Would you say that:

A) the dock has to be unloaded onto the water,

B) the dock has to be unloaded into the water,

C) the dock has to be unloaded afloat?

What do you think?

I would opt for "onto the water" or "afloat".

By the water, I mean a river.
