Hello.

Is it wrong to start my sentence with "usually" and "sometimes"?

1."Usually I don't go out on Sundays."
2. "Sometimes I don't have tea."

I find #2 much more natural than #1. In #2, "sometimes" is in its most common position, although you might hear "I sometimes don't have tea". With #1, most BrE would use "I don't usually go out on Sundays".

As you can see, you can put "usually" between the two halves of "don't go out", but you can't put "sometimes" between the two halves of "don't have".

Do you mean "I don't usually go out" is correct while "I don't sometimes have tea" is not? The two halves of "don't have" shouldn't be separated but with "usually" it is not wrong.

Interesting if both can put used at the end of s sentence.
"I don't have tea usually."
"I don't go out on Sundays sometimes." Sounds strange to me.
"I go out on Sundays sometimes."

Who told you that?

It is correct with usually, normally, often, ever, ....

I meant shouldn't be separated when I have "sometimes" in my sentence. emsr2d2 said yes. But can I put both "usually" and "sometimes" at the end of a sentence?

[STRIKE]Interesting[/STRIKE] I am interested to know if both can [STRIKE]put[/STRIKE] be used at the end of s sentence.

"I don't have tea usually." Not impossible but very unnatural.
"I don't go out on Sundays sometimes." Sounds strange to me. Not impossible but very unnatural.
"I go out on Sundays sometimes." :tick:

See above.

I should have been clearer about not separating "don't have". I was talking only about your example sentence and using "sometimes" between the two words. Other words are fine.

I don't often have breakfast on a weekday.
I don't always have time to get everything done.
