In British usage, may we omit the the full stop after 'vs' for 'versus'? May we do the same for the 'v' for 'versus', which is used in legal contexts?

Examples

The State of California v Michael Anderson
Good Style vs Good Usage

Thanks

I wouldn't use the full stop after either.

In Canada we generally follow BrE spelling and punctuation, but in legal usage we keep the period after v. For example, a criminal case may be called R. v. Collins. Incidentally, in speech our lawyers don't say this as R versus Collins, but usually say R and Collins.
