Hello teachers,
Greetings!
I have a question on tense form today. Here is the sentence:
It was the first time in history that a chair in Anthrozoology was installed in a Psychology department, allowing the two foundational fields of many animal-assisted interventions to truly blend together at the academic level.
Actually, I have 2 questions:
Thank you for your patience.

I have a question on tense form today. Here is the sentence:
It was the first time in history that a chair in Anthrozoology was installed in a Psychology department, allowing the two foundational fields of many animal-assisted interventions to truly blend together at the academic level.
Actually, I have 2 questions:
- Is the tense form in the original correct? I feel so, but I am not sure.
- Does the sentence require past perfect tense (had been installed)? If yes, could you please explain why?
Thank you for your patience.
