The cake was shared ____ us two.
A. between B. by C. among D. with

Do both A and B work well for the sentence?
Or B is better since the active voice would be 'We two shared the cake'?
Or is there a possibility that even D is fine if the active voice is 'They shared the cake with us two'?

Thank you in advance.

If just two people are involved, then you say "between the two of us" or "by the two of us."

"Between" means that something is shared with two people. "Among" is the word to use when more than two is meant.
