We've ordered a pizza and some buffalo wings.

Or

We ordered a pizza and some buffalo wings.

Which would a native say? Are both okay?

In my defence (should that be required), I've been vegetarian for over two decades so would never had ordered them even if they appeared on the menu in the places I eat (they don't).

Chicken wings were scrawny pieces hardly worth the trouble of eating. They would be used for making soup and stocks.

Until a bar in Buffalo decided that they could spice them up and get drunks to eat them. Thus spawning an entire industry.

Now we engineer chickens with large wings, and eating establishments compete to see who can get the most fools to eat the most fiery concoctions.

(I like wings, but not abusing my taste buds with hot sauces.)
