Good afternoon teacher! Please help me out with this problem. I was wondering if all of the three following sentences are correct. Thanks a lot.

1) This morning I went to school by bike. ( a finished period of time)
2) This morning I have gone to school by bike. ( an unfinished period of time)
3) We usually grow vegetables in our garden but this year we are not growing any. ( a temporary action for a period of time around now)

Hi, Son Ho!

All are correct. #2 is unlikely, unless it's a note you left on the kitchen table to explain to someone where you are and how you got there.

It would be more likely to hear:

- This morning I have come to school by bike.
- This morning she has gone to school by bike.

You need a comma after "garden." It's a compound sentence.

Never put a space after an opening parenthesis ("bracket" in BrE). It's always wrong.
