We were closed in the months of April and May?
We had been closed in the months of April and May?

1. We were closed in the months of April and May.
2. We had been closed in the months of April and May.
Please number your sentences in future.

Your sentences are not questions, so need full stops/periods instead.

#1 is fine, but #2 uses the past perfect tense, and you need to have a good reason for using that.

They're both correct but mean different things.

These are more natural:

- We were closed in April and May.
- We had been closed in April and May.
