We do not wear our clothes off or down.
They don't mean anything, in English we don't "wear clothes off" or "down".Then what is the difference between 'for clothes to wear off' and 'for clothes to wear down'?
No.Sorry. It was a bit confusing, I admit.
I meant to use the wear off/out in 'for clothes to wear off/down' as intransitive. That is, the subject was not us humans but clothes.
You don't say 'the clothes wore off/down'?
