How would you fill in the following gap?

"In the afternoon, Devon and Cornwall ______________ the sun for some time." (+)

This is a sentence from an exercise for EFL students learning the will-future (my source was the DVD with exams that only teachers have access to). It's embedded in a weather forecast, so that students have to use will and won't according to the plus (+) or minus (-) symbol after each sentence. I can post the other sentences if needed. There is also a box with the verbs students should use in the gaps: be, get, have, need, rain, see (you can use some of them more than once).
The answer key gives "will see" as the correct answer. My question here is: would any of the other given verbs also fit? Would a native speaker say "will get" or "will have"?
