Is it correct to say " what’s due another person"?
Doesn't it have to be "what's due another person is"?

9)The kind of respect we’re talking about has nothing to do with competence or incompetence. It’s not something reserved for the deserving. Respect is what’s due another person simply because he or she is a person.

It is correct as written. It means "what another person deserves simply because...".
