Hello Teachers,

My friend Ed is going back to the US. He asked me to join him in a lunch gathering the other day. Unluckily, I needed to take my driving test. So I couldn't join him. I then replied:

What a bad luck!

I wonder if this is natural to mean "It's very unlucky for me. I can't join you but I really hope to join you". I said with a sad tone.

In speech, I think they would say:

How unfortunate/unlucky!

Say:

Even better:

I wish I could join you, but I can't. I have to take my driving test.

:)

That's bad timing for me- I have my driving test that day.

Hello teachers.

See above. There is no need to capitalise "teacher". There's also no need to address your post solely to teachers. Start with "Hello" on its own or, more simply, just go straight to your question.
