What do we call different time intervals that a film is shown on the screen?

-I can't show up for the 4........... at the cinema?
- How about the 6...........?
- That would be fine.

In my mother tongue we use the word seance! to refer to this word:-?. I don't know why. It means something totally different. I wonder if there is any special word for that in English?

We used to use the French word "séance" in that way in BrE. Mostly we use "showing" these days.

Thanks Chickensandwich and Bhi. You really helped me. By the way, I was really surprised to hear that the word 'seance' was used to be used to mean screening/showing in BrE as well.

Well, I didn't know it either, but it's not all that surprising if you consider how many French words make up the English vocabulary (see, another French word ;-)).
