Hello everyone!

What would you call the type of restaurant meal which is:

- served at reastaurants at daytime at fixed hours (say, from 11 a. m. to 3 p. m.)
- offers a limited choice of options (for main course, salad, drink)
- sold at a fixed (usu. reduced) price for everything (comes as a single item on the bill)?

In Russian, we call it "business lunch", but it's not a business lunch proper, i. e. doesn't imply a formal business meeting, it's rather a restaurant's special offer. And it doesn't necessarily mean a takeout lunch or a lunch at a cheap place like Subway or McDonald's, even more upscape restaurants can offer this kind of option.

What would you call it? Lunch combo? Or what?

Thank you.

Here I've seen ads that say Corporate Lunch. Usually advertised as a 3 course mixed menu meal. Or a Lunch Bonanza.

In many English countries, we still use the French term: Prix fixe, or Menu prix fixe; sometimes it's just the Lunch Special.

Or set menu.
