Hello,

Being "food" an uncountable word, could we say:

what foods do you like most?

And if so, why could we say it? Would we take "food" as a countable word in this question?

Thank you for your help

The noun "food" can be countable. "Which foods do you like most" is possible.

Hello,

Being "food"
an uncountable word, could we say:
"'Food' being an uncountable noun, ... "
"Since 'food' is an uncountable noun, ..."
"Given that 'food' is an uncountable noun ..."

Hello, Ratoncolorao:

(1) I remembered your thread when I turned on my TV and saw this headline:

"FOODS [That Are] BAD FOR YOUR DIET."

It then listed 10 kinds of food that will make you fat.

(2) I was shocked this morning when I weighed myself and the scale read "___ pounds." Recently I have been eating much too

much food. And too many of my favorite foods (such as cakes, pies, sherbet, etc.) are full of sugar.

Everyone needs food in order to live, but many of us eat the wrong foods.

P.S. I have just noticed that an advertisement at this website says: Five Foods You Must Not Eat.
