What is meant by Weak and strong Syllable ?

I'm not a teacher.

A stressed syllable is the syllable emphasized. For example, the word "about" is stressed at the end. You pronounce it as uh-bout. The stressed syllable will most likely be indicated in your English dictionary; it is usually bold.
