Friend: What kinds of thing that make you laugh?

Silver: Well, there are many. Talk show programs always choke me on my coffee; I like how the jokes provided by those hosts because their jokes always click on me. I also watch Stephen Chou’s comedies; I think his acting skills are at the master level. Sometimes even some fun short videos would amuse me.

Context: My friend and I were chinwagging. He told me a joke but that one wasn’t very funny so I didn’t love. He asked why his joke (he thinks it’s funny.) didn’t click on me and I said because so. Then he asked me the above question. I then provided my answer. Please help me with a natural version of it. When I said “click on me” I meant “I laugh when hearing the jokes.” I also watch short videos (less than 30 seconds) on Tiktok and some of them really make me laugh.

Please help me with the italic paragrpah to make it natural.

See above. I have no idea what the underlined part means.

Much appreciated. I thought "because so" made sense and was idiomatic.

- Why do you like English?
- Because so. (Because I love it and for no reason at all.)

I used "because so" to mean "Why didn't your joke amuse me because they didn't amuse me at all; they were not funny."

"Because so" isn't an English phrase at all. I think you're mixing it up with "Just because".

Uh, right, I'm deeply sorry. I'm grateful for that. :)

An addition to @emsr2d2's answer: the word 'what' is the interrogative transformation' (!) of 'that' - so a sentence can have one or the other but not buth: So:

What kind of things make you laugh?
These are the things that make me laugh.
