[Grammar] Whatever comes Vs. Whatver may come

1. Whatever comes, I will never give up my dreams

2. Whatever may come, I will never give up my dreams.


Are the both sentences same in meaning?
 
* Not a teacher

To me they have the same meaning. But I would say it like this:

Come what may, I will never give up my dreams.
