She's too wild for me. She needs a man who could tame her.

VS

She's too wild for me. She needs a man who would be able to tame her.

Are both the similar or the same?

The first would be better with "can" instead of "could".

Just as 'can' is better than 'could' in the first one, I would say, 'She needs a man who's able to tame her' in the second sentence.

If you make those changes, they will mean the same.
