What's wrong with the following sentence?

He is taller compared to Ali.

What's wrong with the following sentence?

He is taller compared to Ali.

Thanks.

The word "taller" is already a comparative, so you wouldn't use it with "compared to".

He is taller than Ali.
He is tall, compared to Ali.
