Have I made any mistakes?

When the police raided an abandoned farmhouse, they found a cannabis factory in its large cellar. It was equipped with artificial light, ventilation and growing equipment. The police seized more than a hundred plants and arrested two men, who were already known by the police for committing similar crimes.

Use "lights" or "lighting".

In American English, it would be described as a grow operation. "Factory" doesn't work.

As I understand, "cannabis factory" is a standard phrase used in the UK newspapers and media.

Factory is used in the UK, where it is still illegal. Farm is also common.

It's illegal in many of the American states, and against US federal law. Legal grow sites are often called cannabis grow operations, though I don't think a single term has been popularly adopted.
