They both work, I've heard both frequently. I think a hyphen is optional.

Do you mean the hotel language is informal at least to learn to do English test with very strict grammars ?
I think "a" or "an" added or not can make some difference.(and both cases are also formal) I think "the room with air conditioner" means "the room can have 1, 2 or more air conditioners", but "the room with an air conditioner" means it has only 1 air conditioner. Could you please give me some comments ? Am I wrong and why ?
