[Grammar] Why is "She has been working too hard?" WRONG?

Hello,

I did this grammar exercise on the British Council website. My answer is below.

"Debbie has been looking very tired lately. She has been working too hard?"

The second Present Perfect Continuous form was marked wrong. To me, both the Present Perfect Simple and the Present Perfect Continuous work here. I put the Present Perfect Continuous because I think it covers the same period of time as the first sentence. Can anyone please explain why my answer is incorrect?

If that is exactly how you wrote it, then there is nothing wrong with the tense but the word order is incorrect. You have used a question mark at the end so it should read "Has she been working too hard?" If you wanted it to be the statement "She has been working too hard" then you should have used a full stop.

Are you absolutely sure it was the tense they marked as wrong?
