[Grammar] Why subjective pronoun "I" follows all pronouns in a sentence?

Why this sentence is incorrect? - I and you can go there.
And why this sentence is correct? - You and I can go there.

Please note the correct way to ask your question.

They are both grammatically correct, but as a matter of politeness, the convention in English is to put ourselves last in a list of pronouns.
