Is there any difference in meaning or emphasis between I will never go to Europe with my boyfriend and I won't ever go to Europe with my boyfriend? Thanks

To me, 'won't ever' suggests an emphatic refusal to go. Even if you had the opportunity, you would refuse to go.

"Will never' is more of a prediction - you'd go if you got the chance, but you don't think it will ever happen.

However, said with the right inflection, 'will never' could be used to carry the same meaning as 'won't ever'.

Thank you very much for your help!:)

ronao, as I have said before: there is no need to write a new post just to say "Thank you". It makes us think there is new information or a follow-up question and we spend time opening the thread. Simply click on the "Thank" button at the bottom left-hand corner of any post you find helpful. It saves everybody's time.
