"Now if I may, I think it's time for some concluding ramblings before I'm out of here. What а kick-ass moment when Dismember crossed paths with Autopsy in Los Angeles in 1993 and а crazy freakin' show went down in а Chinese restaurant/underground club, complete with feet grazing the ceiling and all."
What does "with feet grazing the ceiling" mean?

Swedish Death Metal: Ekeroth, Daniel

Have you ever been to a hard rock gig? What do you think could possibly happen that would see somebody's feet up in the air?

No I have never been to a rock gig. So people are being thrown up by the crowd, their feet touching the ceiling litearlly?

No, I have never been to a rock gig. So are people are being thrown up in the air by the crowd, their feet literally touching the ceiling? litearlly?
Note my changes above, including the correct spelling of "literally".

No, that's not the correct interpretation. Imagine a concert - who's closer to the ceiling, the crowd or the band?

The band is closer.

I have seen many rock shows and I also have no idea how the band's feet would be touching the ceiling.

Do the fans touch the ceiling when thrown up?

We already established we're not talking about the fans, but the band! In my opinion, it refers to the habit of some guitarists of getting so excited when playing that they lie down on their backs on the stage and kick/wave their legs in the air while playing a usually very loud (and apparently impressive) solo!

You should try it.

So people are being thrown up by the crowd, their feet touching the ceiling litearlly?

Not literally touching the ceiling, of course. Just high up in the air, above shoulder height. Surely you must have seen that happening at some point in your life, no?

Did we?

Then I'd say 'grazing the ceiling' is an inaccurate description of the situation.

If an object grazes something, it touches its surface lightly when it passes it:

The aircraft's landing gear grazed the treetops as it landed.

I guess it's exaggeration, yes. To be honest, I'm not too sure what it means, but I'm pretty sure it's not the band's feet we're talking about. It's a reference to stage diving/crowd surfing and that kind of abandonment.

It's not out of the question too that it might be meant literally in that these underground clubs, by virtue of being in basements, typically have particularly low ceilings, a factor which I think contributes to the intimate and steamy atmosphere of metal gigs.
