[Grammar] with/out of/from/in fear

Which prepositions are correct in the sentence below?
I was crying with/out of/from/in fear.
 
I would use out of or from.
 
I'd use 'with'.
 
I think there are two main ways you can look at what's happening:

1) The crying is considered a result of the fear response, in which case out of and from can both work.

2) The crying is the fear response. In other words, the action and the state are co-occurring, in which case with works best.
