Hey,

Here is the sentence: " sometimes I stay up late without asking." Does it mean I sometimes stay up late if no one asks me too do so?

Thanks

What is the context?

I just saw it today on "Humans of New York."

The child is too young to stay up late. When you're a little child, if you want to stay up past your bedtime, you usually ask your parents.
This caption was showing how "wild and crazy" this little one is, staying up past bedtime without permission.
Just a little joke.

Hahaha, yes that is the pic I saw! Thanks!!!
