I read this sentence 'We’ ve been reassuring our customers that this wouldn’t happen in the near future' and would like to know if we say 'We’ ve been reassuring our customers that this won’t happen in the near future', is there a change in the meaning?

As long as you are still convinced it won't, you can make that change.
