This study explored the relationship between framing mechanisms, which are used in the media image formation, and social relationships between Arabs and Americans.
The study depended on survey method to get data and information about the mutual images between Arab and Americans, and analysis these images to determine its relationship with social relationships between Arabs and Americans.
The researcher performed a meta-analysis of ( 22 ) studies that handled the mutual media images between the Arab world and United States of America from 1916 to 2011. The researcher conducted an online survey, the survey sample consisted of ( 321 ) respondents from ( 12 ) Arab countries, and ( 354 ) respondents from united states of America.
The results revealed that the foreign policy of the United States of America determines the uses of farming mechanisms by Arab and American media. The results indicated that framing mechanisms adoption is significantly associated with mutual images, social relationships, and attitudes toward violence.
These results demonstrate the role of media in shifting the "clash of civilizations" from theory to fact that controls the international relations and social relationships between Arabs and Americans.
The results indicated that the religious affiliation influences framing mechanisms adoption, mutual images, social relationships, and attitudes toward violence.
