Hi,
What is the meaning of "Yet to" in the following sentence?
"Keep your eyes lifted and your head turning. The search for knowledge is in our genes. It was put there by our distant ancestors who spread across the world, and it's never going to be quenched. To understand and use it sanely, as a part of the civilization yet to evolve requires a vastly larger population of scientifically trained people like you."

... As part of the civilization which has not evolved but may do so in the future. The text should have a comma after "evolve".

I have yet to do it = I haven't done it yet

This society hasn't evolved yet.

Eslam Elbyaly, please get into the habit of telling us the source and author of every text you quote.

Yes.
Does the speaker here refer to "the civilization" or "the search for knowledge"

Always put a space after a comma and after any sentence-ending punctuation.

It's the same quotation dear.
"Keep your eyes lifted and your head turning. The search for knowledge is in our genes. It was put there by our distant ancestors who spread across the world, and it's never going to be quenched. To understand and use it sanely, as a part of the civilization yet to evolve requires a vastly larger population of scientifically trained people like you. "

The civilization. Post #2 clarifies that.
