You have slept for quite some time

Hello.

I'm not sure that I understand this sentence:

You have slept for quite some time.

What does "quite some" mean in this context? I guess that "for quite some time" means "for a long time", but as I said I'm not sure whether is correct.

The speaker is impressed by it. The amount of time seems to him impressive or unusual in some way.

The speaker is impressed by it. The amount of time seems to him impressive or unusual in some way.

The time is impressive because of how long it was- it wouldn't work for me if the speaker wanted to say how little time the person had slept.
