1. You should lose your weight.


2. You should lose some weight.


3. You should lose weight.


I've heart that you don't say 'my' or 'your' weight like 1.

Is it true? How about other sentences, 2 and 3?

1. You should lose your weight.

2. You should lose some weight.

3. You should lose weight.



I've heard that you can't say 'your' or 'my' weight like 1.


Is it true? Then, how about 2 and 3?

Yes, but you can say "watch your weight". He has to watch his weight because he has a heart condition. (Longman).

#2 and #3 are fine, as far as I can tell.
 
#2 and #3 are fine. #1 isn't.
