I am talking to someone on the phone and they put themself on speaker and move away from their phone. They sound far away and it becomes difficult for me to understand what they are saying. In this situation what should I say. Please check the following sentences.

1) You sound far away from your phone.
2) You sound like speaking in the distance.
3) It seems you have stepped away from the. phone because you sound distant.
4) It seems you are away from your phone.

I'd say: I can't hear you clearly. Could you please speak closer (to your phone)?

If I want to say that you are far from your phone then what I need to say?

See tedmc's reply in post #2. "I'd say: I can't hear you clearly. Could you please speak closer to your phone?"

I'll sometimes say something like "I can't hear you very well. It sounds like you're far away."

What you mean to say is that you're having trouble hearing other person. That's what you should say. Don't make suggestions. Just say you're having trouble hearing them.
