Your program seems like its working but produces incorrect results later in the program.

One of the most common types of comment we get from readers says, “You said I couldn’t do X, but I did it anyway and my program works! Why?”.

Are those sentecnes corret? It was written by a teacher.

With the first sentence, it's quite clear what the speaker means but it's not the most elegant way of saying it. There's a missing apostrophe.

There's nothing wrong with the second.

What makes you think they're incorrect?

Shouldn't it be written as?

Your program seems like it is working but produces incorrect results later in the program.

The writer forgot the apostrophe. Since this word is a contraction, it should be written as it's.

Is the following correct too?

Your program seems like working but produces incorrect results later in the program.

No, it's wrong without "it's" or "it is" there. It could be worded "Your program seems to be working ...".

(Note that you misspelled "sentences" in post #1.)
