Countable and uncountable technology activities

Use the list below to do the activity or activities from here that your teacher tells you to:

  • Decide what you need to set up a new office, a new home, a new company, etc
  • Find things in common with your partner
  • Find things you have more of than your partner and/ or use more than your partner

Your teacher will tell you which version of the list to use.

Useful language for doing the activities

“How many…?”

“How much…?”

“How often…?”

“a lot (of)”

“quite a lot (of)”

“some”

“a few”/ “a little”/ “not many”/ “not much”

“a couple (of)”

“one”/ “a”/ “an”

“no”

When your teacher stops you, ask about any words below which you don’t understand, aren’t sure how to use, etc, using those to continue the activity above as a class (e.g. trying to find things in common with that word).

Look at the Without -S Version. Put “-s” at the end of any word which can take it (i.e. any words which are countable), leaving the others (uncountable nouns) without -s.

AND/ OR
Do the brainstorming stage below.

Check with the version of the worksheet with -s already on it. Other answers are possible, so please check if you wrote anything different.
