Guess the animal from the adverbs of manner game

Choose an animal such as one in the list below without saying which one you chose. Say one thing they do and how they do it with a hint like those on the next page, e.g. “It eats slowly”, and see if your partner can guess which animal you are describing. They can only guess once per hint, so if they are wrong, give them another hint. Continue until they guess the right animal, then take turns doing the same. Your teacher will tell you if and when you can use the suggested hints for each animal on the bottom pages.

Animal actions with adverbs of manner brainstorming game

Choose an animal for the class to describe the actions of. After four minutes, you get one point for each correct description with an adverb of manner that is not on the list with that animal below and that other groups didn’t think of.
