Greetings mingling game

Take at least ten “greeting” cards each. When your teacher tells you to, stand up, start a conversation with someone by greeting them, and fold one of your cards to show that you have used a greeting. Your partner can make you unfold your card if you repeat the same greeting that they used, if you reuse a greeting that you have already used, or if you use the greeting in the wrong way.

Have a natural conversation with the person who you greeted with small talk etc, but end the chat as soon as you can smoothly do so. Finish with another greeting, fold another card for using that parting greeting (as long as you didn’t break the rules), then go and greet another student, folding a third card when you do so. Continue doing the same thing with different students and/ or with the same students again after different students, carrying on until the teacher stops the game. The winner is the person who has the most folded cards when the teacher stops you.
