Halloween prepositions of movement games

Halloween prepositions of movement drawing competition

Make a scary sentence with a preposition of movement with words like those in the table on the next page, and see who can draw the best picture matching that sentence and/ or the scariest picture matching that sentence.

When your teacher stops you, ask about any words on the next page which you don’t understand, are not sure how to draw, etc, working together as a class to make suitable drawings each time.

Halloween prepositions of movement drawing guessing game

Write a sentence using a preposition of movement and at least one more word from the table on the next page. Start drawing that thing, and see how quickly your partner can guess what you are trying to draw. You can’t speak or write words, so if they can’t guess, draw more, let them see the table on the next page, and/ or circle key parts of the picture.

When your teacher stops you, ask about any words on the next page which you don’t understand, are not sure how to draw, etc, working together as a class to make suitable drawings each time.

Halloween prepositions of movement storytelling game

Take turns continuing a scary story, starting with the sentence your teacher gives you or your own choice. When it is your turn, you can get one point if your sentence uses a preposition of movement like those in the right-hand column on the next page below, and/ or one point if your sentence is scary.
