Relationships vocabulary storytelling activities

including relationships phrasal verbs, collocations and word formation

Start the story of a romance with one of the cards below, e.g. “After many years of working together, John asked Jane out on a date”. Your partner will choose another card to continue the story. Continue the story with more and more cards until you can bring the story to a natural (good or bad) ending, and then do the same with another story if you have enough cards left.

When your teacher stops you, compare endings with other groups. Then look at an un-cut-up worksheet and ask about any words you don’t understand or couldn’t use to make a story.

Relationships vocabulary word formation
