Sports and exercise random pelmanism comparing practice
Choose two sports or kinds of exercise such as those in the left columns on the next page. Say one way in which the two activities are similar and one way they are different, using phrases like the ones on this page. Cross off the phrases, names of sports/ exercises and useful vocabulary that you use so that different language needs to be used in the following turns. Continue doing the same with different pairs of things until you run out of ideas or until your teacher stops the game.

When your teacher stops the game, ask about any comparisons language you weren’t sure how to use, sports/ exercises you don’t know, etc, working together to make suitable comparisons each time.
