Xmas experiences bluff - Present Perfect practice
A LESSON PLAN FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS
A fun have + past participle for experiences and Christmas vocabulary lying game, including nouns and verbs that go together practice
Lesson Plan Content:
Christmas experiences bluff - Present Perfect practice
with Christmas verb + noun collocations
Take turns asking each other “Have you ever…?” questions with the verbs and nouns below. If the question makes sense, you must answer “Yes, I have”, even if that isn’t true. The other person will then ask follow-up questions and guess if your “Yes” answer was true or not. If your teacher gives you the version without past participles, make sure you change the verbs into the correct form when you ask your question.
Ask about any verbs and nouns which you don’t understand, couldn’t make questions out of, etc, working together to ask and answer “Have you ever…?” questions with those words each time (with true answers this time).
Test each other on the language in the table:
- Say the present/ infinitive of a verb and see if your partner can remember the past participle
- Say a verb below and see if your partner can put it with a suitable noun (with nouns not below also okay as long as they match the verb)
- Say a noun below and see if your partner can put it with a suitable verb (with verbs not below also okay as long as they match the noun)
- Say the present/ infinitive of a verb and see if your partner can make a “Have you ever…?” question with it
