Lightbulb Venerable Sir

Hi,

Which writing a formal letter..

How appropriate is the use of "Venerable sir" as an opening salutation?

What are the other alternatives..?

Sir,
Dear Sir,
Respected Sir

Thanks

Wink Re: Venerable Sir

i think dear sir is ok as it is the most common way every where, no need to use complicated words where you can use simple and to the point words. Thanks.
