Unhappy A letter i wrote for an english test

[this message has been edited, thus it is not as if i write perfect letters. It's just that the tdol's corrections were that helpful! Only grammatical corrections here]

I would me most grateful, if any of you could have a quick glance at this (should be in plain British format):

3rd April, 2005

Dear Sir/Madam,

This letter is to inform you about my readiness and motivation to partake in the project for which you requested applicants in the 2nd April last Tribune.

I am 20 years of age and I live in Holland. I am currently a student at a school of Secondary Education, which makes me a versed user of the English language certainly up to standard for this line of work.

Though I have never had the pleasure of performing as an actor, my distinct outward features would make me an asset to your cast: my red hair, tall physique and fine face.

Moreover, I ask you to give me the opportunity to experience what it is to be an actor. I will be available the whole of July.

You can contact me at +648458517 or at the address given above.

I look forward to receiving your timely reply.

Yours faithfully,

Wietse Zuyderwijk

[corrected mistakes(minor/major): 1/2]

and correct me where i'm wrong.
