I am writing this letter to apologize for my neglect. Actually I forgot to return your textbook which I borrowed from you last month. I did not know when you intended to go to your home overseas. As you know, I promised to return back this book to you as soon as possible. I am truly sorry about that.

As far as I remembered, this book was one of your most favorite books and you always carried this book in your bag. You did not ask me to give this book to you before you left school. Please let me know if you still need this book or not.
