Default can you please correct this letter?

I want to write a letter to my Manager requisting for an emergency leave for attending a court case back home- please see below.

    Sir,

This is to inform you that I have some legal dispute going on in the court in Sri Lanka over my family properties, and the dispute resolution process will be held in the end of this month in court. This process can go ahead only if both parties are present in the court. In order for a peaceful settlement of this dispute, my legal representation is required. Therefore, I kindly plead your good office to grant me one month leave on emergency ground to attend this matter and resolve it.
