What would be the salutation if the letter is aim to a lot of people. (Is a formal letter)

If you know the name of the company to whom the letter is addressed, and have used it in the address, you could start the letter with "Dear Sirs".

It does not matter that some of the people who will read it may be female.

I have seen 'Gentlemen' used in American correspondence, though never in British.
