How to address an envelope for a social-business event? Is it a must to write the person's post on the outside envelope? What if you are writing to people with important positions in the government or in a nation, should their position be specified on the envelope or not? Please advise. Thank you.
If the envelope is the plain kind, the address has to be on the outside or the postman can't see it. If it is a window envelope, the address goes on the letter inside.Quote:

There are many different conventions, and you would need to search them out if you are having to write many such letters.
